Spurs' Transfer Window recap
With the transfer window finally closed, here's a quick recap of our new signings:
Clint Dempsey: Scoring an impressive 23 goals for mid-table Fulham last year, the American will bring some versatility that Spurs need. He's not the striker we need, but he can play multiple positions. And at the price we bought him for (6 million pounds), it's a great deal, especially stealing him away from Liverpool at the end of the deadline.
Mousa Dembele: His dribbling ability matched with his strength makes him an absolute force in the midfield. And being a former striker, we could use his skills up front as light as we are there. He is the one player Spurs went directly after, paying the 15 million pound buyout to Fulham.
Hugo Lloris: A great mix of youth and experience teamed with his mobility makes this the best possible keeper Spurs could have gone after. The price was right, but it's also bittersweet for it seems like the end is near for Brad Friedel.
Other signees this period that I have previously mentioned include Emmanuel Adebayor, Jan Vertonghen, and Gylfi Sigurdsson.
